“ wOOt, I love the aam mags, there i said it. Im 11 and getting a new aquriam for chrismas with tropical fish. I just thought that tuning in to this mag might help me care for then a little better. My dad has tropical fish and only about 6 have died but that is just cause we got demon fish. Hint: Dont get these fish they are dotty black and white have flat heads and have a devil shape tail. Well thats it. Looking forward to the next issue”

Congratulations on the first edition of Australian Aquarium! Having kept tropical tanks for 16 years, I am pleased to see that 'we' (being Aussies) finally have our own dedicated magazine that reflects our interest and passions for our wet pets. I have read other magazines which are informative, but talk about overseas products, much to my frustration, and I'm sure other peoples. I am especially chuffed to read in the first edition, a story on my favourite fish, the much understated and impossible to find- Killifish. I have a lovely collection of Aphysoemion gardneri, now into their third generation and going strong. I would like to think that other fish enthusiasts may pick up on these great, colourful and personality packed little fish, as they do provide a lot of enjoyment. Thanks also for the added information on the Canberra study group- I plan to get in contact with them soon.
